About the solution
At some point in our lifetime, one-third of us will develop cancer.
Cancer is a disease which affects both the person directly and everyone close to them, which motivated Eva Dieker, after having cancer herself, to focus on life quality of patients and not only medical care.
As this disease becomes even more common, Eva understood that care is not only medical care but also self-care, with nutrition and physical activity
playing a big role in the disease outcome. But, even as this aspect of support in the context of cancer treatment has been proven to increase the chance of recovery, lower the risk of side effects from medications and cancer relapses, it hasn't been explored due to the fact that people with cancer aren't aware of the benefits or are too afraid to do something that they don't know a lot about.
This is how Oppio was born! Eva teamed up Anna Baecklund to bring this solution to life, as it allows cancer patients to have at their fingertips support for physical activity, symptom monitoring, medication impact and nutrition all tailored to their specific needs and most importantly to their care plan and cancer type. Oppioo combines clinical oncological physiotherapy research with behavioral expertise and AI to ensure the best methods and the best outcomes, all while taking into consideration medical records, cancer-related fatigue, and other registered data of the patient.
As a cancer patient, you need all the support you can get to stay active and this should be accessible and affordable for everyone, anytime, and wherever you are.
